It is always encouraging to read a National News article featuring women in our community, but not when it reveals our Pain and our Shame. Nonetheless it is our Truth. The October issue of Essence magazine has uncovered "The Secret Shame of Prince Georges County". The Essence article investigates why the nations most prosperous Black community has such a high rate of domestic violence reports-and why sisters are suffering in silence. The Silence Must End and it Begins with Us !
